Can Donkeys Really Improve our Wellbeing?

In the nativity, every year we are told a donkey carried Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem to have their baby. In Ancient Greece, donkeys were used to transfer goods down narrow paths or in vineyards. Even now, donkeys are needed in farming all over the world. But is carrying crops, food and water all donkeys are good for?
