A whopping 4.48 billion people used social media worldwide in 2021, which shows an increase in users of 115.59% in a mere 6 years since 2015. With the average time one of these people would spend on social media a day being 2 hours 24 minutes; if someone signed up at 16 and lived to 70, they would spend 5.7 years of their life on it. These shocking statistics should make us all ponder whether it is in our best interest to spend years of our lives on the applications known as social media.
