This Croydon man has just run 156 miles across the Sahara Desert
For most runners, a marathon is more than enough of a fitness challenge. But Croydon-based personal trainer Pawel Bal took fitness feats to the next level, running 156 miles through the grueling heat of the Sahara Desert - and beating more than 1,100 other runners in the process. The 34-year-old finished 18th in this year's Marathon Des Sables, which is considered one of the most challenging endurance races in the world.
