Organisers of the New Addington Carnival have revealed they are "desperate" for funding for this year's event and have warned there is a "very strong risk" this year will be its last. To the cover the costs of the two-day carnival, which was first staged in the 1950s, £10,000 needs to be raised. However, a mere £765 has been donated so far.After the event had to stop in 2006 for various reasons, a small group of residents came together in 2010 to bring it back....
