Security guard stabbed during shocking assault at Wickes store

A security guard was stabbed in both arms while trying to stop a shoplifter on Sunday. Police were called to the assault outside the Wickes store in Beddington Lane at 1pm.Sutton Metropolitan Police Service confirmed the suspect left the store with cabling he had not paid for.The 55-year-old guard challenged the suspect, but was knifed twice in his left arm and once in his right.
