Eight people suffering from dizziness and sickness were evacuated from a block of flats in Croydon by firefighters after being affected by unknown chemicals.Firefighters investigated the smell of the unknown chemicals at the flats on Coombe Road after being called to the property just after 10pm on December 30. Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used detection and monitoring equipment to sweep the two-storey building and basement, found high levels of chemicals caused by bitumen paint. READ.
