Council leader rules out a smoking ban in Croydon pub gardens

The leader of Croydon Council has ruled out the possibility of considering a smoking ban in pub gardens.Documents seen by the Croydon Advertiser suggested that Haringey Council - another Labour-run authority - was considering extending a smoking ban to "alfresco dining areas".One of the documents said that the council wanted to achieve a tobacco-free generation by "encouraging more people to quit" and "removing smoking as a social norm".READ MORE: Croydon woman...
