HS2 viaduct takes major step forward as first 55m bridge section installed

HS2 engineers have successfully installed the first 55-metre steel section of the new Saltley Viaduct over the Birmingham to Derby railway lines over the August Bank Holiday weekend, as work on the Birmingham viaduct replacement progresses through the first of four phases.
