Workers who battled the flooding in Falmouth have been praised for their efforts by one business as Cornwall Council defended itself against criticism on social media for not doing more effort to prevent it. A spokesman for Pets At Home at Ponsharden said she "couldn't fault" the men who were on site for over four hours to not only clear drains to enable the water to drain away, but cleared the mud which had been brought with it off nearby fields.
