Man charged with escaping lawful custody

A wanted man was arrested and appeared in court over the weekend following a public appeal. Shannon Gray, 38, was arrested in Bridgwater on Friday 4 September and appeared before magistrates in Taunton the following day, charged with escaping lawful custody at HMP Leyhill on 8 August. He was remanded in custody pending a hearing at Taunton Crown Court on 09 October.
