Largest Chip in the World! Cerebras' Wafer Scale Engine

In August 2019, Cerebras Systems - a California-based company-  unveiled the world's largest computer chip. Named the Wafer Scale Engine (WSE), the chip measures 8.46 inches across (being roughly the size of an iPad) and contains 1.2 trillion transistors, making it the largest and most powerful computer chip ever created. The WSE was specifically designed for use in artificial intelligence (AI) and scientific research applications.
