Pensioner led from house fire

A PENSIONER was led to safety by firefighters after a electrical fault set a fridge freezer alight.A neighbour alerted the emergency services to the blaze at the terraced house in Buckley Lane, Farnworth after smelling smoke at 7pm on Thursday.Firemen from Farnworth led the 79-year-old householder to safety and put out the fire using a hose reel.The pensioner was taken to hospital as a precaution after suffering minor smoke inhalation and a 91-year-old female neighbour was treated at the scene a
