THRILLED to be one of the girls, presenter and best-selling novelist Fern Britton cheerfully admits that she almost missed out on a part in Calendar Girls, the Musical which comes to the Lowry, Salford Quays next week, initially telling her agent that on instinct it wasn’t for her.
