LOOKING BACK: Runners take part in Westhoughton road race

Today's picture from The Bolton News archives shows some of the 340 runners took part in a six mile road race called the James Booth Super Six in 1989. The race set off from Westhoughton Sports Centre as a curtain raiser for that year’s Westhoughton Summer Show and Carnival.
