LOOKING BACK: Mill workers lead the way at lunchtimes

THESE days it seems everyone is aware of the importance of exercise, but back in 1978 these workers at Nortex Mill in Chorley Old Road, were leading the way. The women in our picture reckoned they spent a few minutes every dinner time jogging round the factory, although they obviously hadn't been able to change into sports gear!
