LOOKING BACK: Changes to Bolton town centre in 1928

This photograph was taken in about 1928 from a Sopworth monoplane and shows the area round Moor Lane at that time, before the Ashburner Street Market or the bus station were there. Half way up the far left of the picture, the back of the Town Hall is visible, and slum clearance has begun to make room for the Crescent.
