Residents in Bolton have complained of long delays trying to book a test and in some cases being offered appointments in other areas of the UK. Council chiefs have urged the Government to treat “major flaws” with the online booking system for tests as “a matter of the utmost priority”. The borough still has the highest infection rate in England.
