Dead dog found in carrier bag (warning graphic image)

HEARTBROKEN walkers discovered a dead dog in a carrier bag. The Staffordshire Bull Terrier was found next to Astley Brook in Halliwell this afternoon. The body, found by the brook close to Rossini Street, had been placed into an Aldi carrier bag and allegedly dumped near the stream. RSPCA inspector Danni Jennings, who was called to the scene to remove the body, described the dog's colour as brindle and said it had a white stomach.
