Police remind drivers to check insurance after car seized

A driver had his car seized by officers in Haslingden after officers discovered he was not insured to drive it. Police spotted the driver at a beauty spot and checks revealed he had not third party insurance. A Rossendale police spokespersons said: "The driver stated that his mother had sorted the insurance which is, unfortunately a stark reminder that if you get behind the wheel of a car, it is your responsibility to make sure that you are legal to drive it."
