Blackburn mosque fun day to raise funds for renovations

One of the oldest mosques in town is hosting a family fun day to raise funds for renovations. The Masjid-e-Rizwan on Newton Street is being re-built by the Kokni Muslim Association were given planning permission to extend the mosque. The estimated cost of the renovations is said to be upwards of £800,000, funded by private donations, and the new mosque will accommodate 450 worshippers.
