UU Church Holds Open House
After a year-long, $900,000 renovation project, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast invites the public to an open house at 37 Miller St. The original second-floor sanctuary of the 1859 building, built by the local Methodist church, is being re-opened after decades of being closed. Most of the massive tin ceiling, colored glass windows, curved stairwells and other original work have been preserved, while modern updates in energy efficiency, comfort, and sound system have been added.
