This Week in Nova Scotia History: April 16-22

April 16, 1930 - Germain Bartlett Alexis, sometimes known as Jerry Bartlett; known in Mi'kmaq as Slme'n Laksi , but better known yet as Jerry Lonecloud, died. He was born in Belfast, Maine in 1854 and became a well-known Mi'kmaq guide, herbalist and folklorist.
