Rainbow parade kicks off Pride Day festivities

Belfast Has Pride celebrated differences and inclusion Saturday, beginning with a parade through the center of town that featured rainbow flags, banners, drums and karaoke. In the city's second annual observance of Pride Day, scores of marchers strolled the parade route from Belfast Area High School to the waterfront, stepping off at 9 a.m. They reached the intersection of Main and High streets to cheers and applause from spectators who lined the sidewalks.
