Herbig schedules Senate District 11 announcement

House Majority Leader Erin Herbig, D-Belfast, announced Dec. 27 she is hosting a "major press conference" Tuesday, Jan. 2, to comment on the race to replace term-limited Sen. Mike Thibodeau, R-Winterport, for Senate District 11. The Jan. 2 press conference will take place at 5 p.m. at the French and Webb Building, 7 Front St., Belfast. In recent months, Herbig has declined to respond to repeated requests from The Journal for comment about the race or if she intends to run for the position.
