Driver swerves to avoid deer, vehicle goes airborne

Sgt. John Gibbs of Belfast Police Department said 19-year-old Colton Ridley of Belfast was driving on Route 3 at 6:53 a.m. when he swerved to avoid a deer that ran into the road. The vehicle partially left the roadway and slid on the snow-covered grass, Gibbs said.
