Belfast poet laureates head north

Belfast will be well represented at the 15th annual Poets/Speak! Event Thursday, April 27, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Bangor Public Library, 145 Harlow St. More than 25 well-known and emerging poets, UMaine student poets and musicians will celebrate National Poetry Month in a 15th anniversary event celebrating Origins: Roots & Sources, in conjunction with the library's month-long Smithsonian exhibit "Human Origins." Festivities will open with a musical performance by Dear Darwin.
