Is Microsoft really going to cut off security updates for your 'unsupported' Windows 11 PC?

Microsoft's "fear, uncertainty, and doubt" campaigns are normally aimed at competitors. So it's a little odd to see the company discouraging its own customers from installing a Microsoft product.
