Coventry’s Very Light Rail is like a tram, but because its rails can be laid on strong concrete in a fraction of the time and at a fraction of the cost of a conventional tram, it should be easier and quicker to deploy the network.
The VLR is also battery powered and with no overhead cables, which reduces street clutter and further reduces the costs of installing the network
