Richard and Su Rogers’ radical Wimbledon house given to the National Trust

A pioneering modernist house in south London that influenced the design of the Lloyd’s building in London and the Centre Pompidou in Paris has been given to the National Trust, saving it for the nation.

The Wimbledon home at 22 Parkside was designed in the late 1960s by Richard and Su Rogers for Richard’s parents, and became a testing ground for architectural ideas that Richard Rogers later developed on a much larger scale.
