Replacement of 20-year-old gates gives glimpse inside drained Regent’s Canal lock

Last week, two 3-tonne lock gates arrived on the Regent’s Canal, to be craned into place near the Islington Tunnel.The 205-year-old Regent’s Canal has quite a few locks to deal with London’s undulating landscape, and a large lock can be found in Islington, at City Road.
