Lost underground water network beneath Royal Parks to be mapped
Hidden waterways that once supplied water to royal palaces are to be uncovered in a new archaeology project exploring what lies beneath three of London’s Royal Parks.The Royal Parks charity has launched the Lost Waterways of the Royal Parks, a three-year project that will investigate forgotten conduits, wells, reservoirs and underground tunnels hidden beneath Richmond Park, Greenwich Park and Bushy Park.
