Dry weather to affect some late evening train services in east London

There’s going to be some late evening cuts to mainline train services through east London next month, because the ground is too dry.

Following England’s warmest spring on record and hot summer so far, the peat and clay that sits under long stretches of the railway has dried out and shrunk. This has caused the track to drop in places and become uneven.
