Crossrail now “tangibly close” to opening

The Crossrail project is now “tangibly close” to opening the Elizabeth line’s core tunnels, TfL’s Commissioner, Andy Byford has confirmed this morning.
At the TfL board meeting, he reiterated though that the line, currently due to open in the first half of this year will not open until he is absolutely certain that it can offer a reliable service for passengers.
