Clapham Junction’s shabby road tunnel set for artist design makover

The busy and shabby road tunnel running underneath Clapham Junction station could get a makeover after Wandsworth Council and the London Festival of Architecture launched a competition to improve its appearance.

The 100 metre long Falcon Road Bridge runs under the railways to the eastern side of Clapham Junction station and is the only route north-south under the railways in the area. Despite how busy it is, it’s quite a shabby route, with two narrow pedestrian paths, the wal
