Barbican Art Centre gets £191 million to fund essential upgrades

A substantial upgrade of the Barbican Art Centre is to go ahead after the City of London approved £191 million of funding for the arts centre.

The redevelopment of the Barbican Centre was chosen as the alternative to building a new concert hall on the vacated site of the former Museum of London and it gives them an opportunity to fix some of the inherent problems with the Barbican Centre at the same time.
The package will fund about 80 percent of the first pha
