Retail crime survey

Violence and abuse against shop staff is on the rise, according to the latest annual Retail Crime Survey by the trade association the British Retail Consortium (BRC). In 2015-16, there were 51 incidents of violence and abuse reported per 1000 staff, up from 41 the previous year.
