Debenhams chairman and CEO ousted by Mike Ashley
Debenhams’s chairman Sir Ian Cheshire and chief executive Sergio Bucher have been voted off the board.
While the board has agreed to keep Butcher as CEO, Cheshire will be replaced by director Terry Duddy in the interim after retail tycoon Mike Ashley used Sports Direct’s 29.7% share in Debenhams to oppose Cheshire.
