Homebase to shutter 33 stores this month

Homebase will close 33 stores this month as administrators wind down the garden and DIY chain’s estate.
The retailer collapsed into administration at the end of November after it ran out of funding. Its brand and up to 71 of its stores was quickly snapped up by The Range and Wilko owner CDS Superstores for £25.6m.
Administrators at Teneo closed 13 Homebase stores last month, most of which have since been reopened as The Range superstores.
