Dining out beats flowers and gifts this Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day, a new survey from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) has revealed that dining out is the most popular way for people to celebrate the day, with 27% of respondents planning to take their partner for a meal.
Following this, 19% intend to purchase cards, while 10% plan to treat their partner to drinks or flowers. A smaller proportion (4%) are planning a trip away, and 11% will be spending on other gifts.
