Boohoo shuns Mike Ashley and names Debenhams boss as new CEO

Boohoo has named Debenhams boss Dan Finley as its new CEO, ignoring shareholder Mike Ashley’s demands to be put at the helm of the online fashion group.
Finley has served as Debenhams CEO since 2022, and was previously multichannel of JD Sports for 10 years.
The exec has “deep expertise in driving the growth of online businesses,” according to Boohoo, having “delivered unprecedented digital growth” at JD Sports.
