Asda rejects safety fears as 300 security jobs put at risk

Asda has insisted its stores will remain properly protected after more than 300 security officers working for outsourcing giant Mitie were placed at risk of redundancy.
Mitie has launched a consultation over plans to reduce guard hours across around 100 Asda stores, which could leave some officers facing reduced shifts, relocation or redundancy.
