Amazon opens Northampton fulfilment centre as £1bn county investment ramps up

Amazon opened a new fulfilment centre in Northampton and revealed plans for a second site in nearby Kettering as its investment in the county topped £1 billion.The ecommerce giant said the two developments would create more than 4000 jobs across Northamptonshire.
Amazon described the Northampton site as one of its most advanced logistics operations in the UK, with tens of millions of items stored across three floors of robotics.
