Homeowners face double council tax bills on empty properties to aid ‘crucial services’

HOMEOWNERS who leave their second houses unused are set to have their council tax bills doubled under levelling-up plans to be unveiled this week in a bid to aid "crucial services" this week, according to a Government source. This follows Council Tax being raised earlier this month despite the fact that Britons are already struggling to make ends meet.
