Work starts on new Crossrail station at Abbey Wood

Network Rail - Last week, Network Rail and Balfour Beatty began construction of the new station building at Abbey Woodone of 10 stations being built for the Crossrail route, which will run from Reading and Heathrow in the west through to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east.
