West Coast franchise consultation launched

RailNews.co.uk -The Department for Transport has launched a consultation into the details of the next Intercity West Coast franchise, which is due to start in April 2018. The DfT has set out its aims for West Coast, which include increases in passenger numbers, a close working relationship with the holder of the next West Midlands franchise, continued investment in the workforce and 'a new benchmark in passenger satisfaction'.
