As members of the Unison union’s water, environment and transport section, we are pleased to see our union’s longstanding policy of renationalisation of water, rail and energy addressed in Labour’s election manifesto. Consumers and water workers have paid the price of the industry being organised for private profit, with a massive 40% increase above inflation since privatisation under Margaret Thatcher in 1989. The recent chaos on Southern Rail underlines how the relentless dri
