LGBTQ+ Identification in U.S. Rises to 7.6%, Gallup Reports
Source: United Press International - Health NewsA Gallup survey released Wednesday shows 7.6% of U.S. adults now identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or another sexual orientation beside heterosexual—more than double the number since Gallup first asked asked about sexual orientation and transgender identity in 2012. If current trends continue, the U.S. LGBTQ+ population could reach 10% within three decades, Gallup said when announcing the 2023 survey results.
