Volkswagen targets 'pay as you go' drivers with Uber-style digital division

Troubled carmaker Volkswagen is seeking to put the diesel emissions scandal in its rear-view mirror with the launch of a digital business division, offering motorists of paying for the use of a vehicle when needed rather than fork out for the expense of outright ownership.
Known as MOIA the Uber-style service will see VW join a growing band of car makers seeking to enter the space, initially by offering an on-demand shuttle service.
