UK ad budgets upped 'markedly' at end of 2016 despite Brexit, but spend will fall in 2017, says latest Bellwether report
The Institute Practitioners in Advertising's (IPA) latest Bellwether report has revealed mixed results, showing that marketers dismissed ongoing uncertainty in the UK by raising their budgets toward the end of 2016, but forecasting that ad spend will fall in 2017.
The most recent edition of the quarterly study details the findings for the final three months of last year. It revealed that UK firms shrugged off the economic uncertainty brought about in the aftermath of the EU referendum
