Nintendo considers building smartphone control pad

Nintendo is set to ramp up its efforts in the mobile gaming sphere by leaving the door open to unleash its own customised control pad for its smartphone titles.
Whilst seemingly running counter to established notions of ergonomics and portability such a peripheral may actually make some sense for action intensive titles, which do not lend themselves to touchscreen interaction.
